My tattoo

I got my tattoo to symbolize how I will not go quietly ever again and my new found strength. I was verbally and emotionally abused when I was younger and this tattoo is everything I learned and how I grew from the experience. My inspiration was Genevieve Schatz. She has forte symbol on arm and when I asked her why she said this “I got the forte symbol when I felt I had the ability to speak again. It really means a lot to me” I didn’t know she got it for the same reasons I was considering. I knew we had similar pasts but to know she went the same struggle I had is incredible. After talking to her about it and my past I got it the next day. I consider it to also be a bond between me and Genevieve and I really consider her to be my mentor. I got it alone to define my strength and my independence. The tattoo goes right along with the song Won’t Go Quietly by Company of Thieves. The forte symbol is a piece of me and I feel stronger now that I have it. One little letter has so much meaning and I don’t think anyone except Gen will understand the full meaning of it.
